St Faith’s sport plays a central role in the School's mission to support and nurture individual pupils with diverse needs. St Faith’s sport develops pupils' confidence and resilience through physical, technical and mental stimulus, and exposure to teamwork and leadership opportunities.
At the core of our games programme is a team-sports ethos, promoting physical health and social interaction, and providing every pupil with the opportunity to represent the School. Pupils' games lessons allows for every pupil to comfortably engage in a major sport while sampling other sports and activities within the PE and Games curriculum.
The major sports for the boys are rugby, hockey and cricket and for the girls there's hockey, netball and rounders. Matches are played from year 4 upwards against schools such as The Perse, St John’s College, King’s, Greshams, Bishops Stortford and Felsted. In each term and sport the St Faith’s games staff endeavour to ensure that each child will have a chance to represent the school at some level.
St Faith's record is very strong. Teams in six different sports competed in national finals in 2012.
Sports kit requirements can be found in the Uniform section. Do let us know if you would like to see some information here about another aspect of our Sports provision. Thank you. Send the Sports Department an email.
