2nd Place for Archie in the Rotary Young Writers Competition

We would like to say a big congratulations to one of our year 4 pupils, Archie N. At the end of the Summer term we were informed that he had been awarded second place in the national round of the Rotary Young Writers Competition. Archie was put forward after winning the Junior Cambridgeshire South round. The judges described his work as a ‘cheerful and original idea interpreting the theme. A very strong story’.

Archie was handed a cheque for £50 and a certificate from the national organisers for his excellent creative writing skills. Maureen Hallsworth, a former St Faith’s parent and member of the Rotary Club of Cambridge South, visited the school to hand the prize to him in person.

Well done to everyone that took part in this competition.
