Plethora of Sporting Glories for St Faith’s
The Sports Department continues to reap the rewards of its Sports For All strategy with regional and national successes in a number of sports in the past two weeks.
First a hat-trick of county hockey crowns saw the U11, U12 and U13 boys all crowned County champions. The following week our U11 Boys competed at Bishops Stortford College remaining unbeaten through the day to become Regional IAPS Champions and will go on to represent St Faith’s at the National Finals on 20th of March at Rugby School.
John Welch, Head of Sport said, “The degree of success that has been achieved over this time period has been down to the pupil’s continued hard work and thorough enjoyment of playing not only hockey but all sport. This, alongside a wonderful coaching team who are so willing to go above and beyond in their preparation for these kind of tournaments, is a great recipe for success.”
In netball the St Faith’s U12 Girls were crowned Regional IAPS Netball Champions at Felsted School after winning all their games and will now represent the school at The National Finals on 21st March at Epsom College. On the same day the U13 Girls finished runners up at the Regional IAPS event and will also go on to represent the school at The National Finals.
Our U9, U10, U11 & U13 Girls Gym teams competed at St Catherine’s School in Bramley at the Independent School National Gymnastics Finals last weekend, finishing as follows:
