St Faith’s Hosts An Evening Of Athletics
On Thursday 10th May St Faith’s hosted a fantastic evening of athletics at Latham Road with approximately 100 athletes from our school taking part, as well as teams from Wellingborough Prep, St John’s, St Mary’s Junior, St Mary’s Senior, Perse Prep, Perse Upper and Moulton House.
With the perfect track conditions there were some magnificent performances, with Polina breaking the school record for the U12 70m hurdles, where she ran 11.81 seconds. Ned narrowly missed the boy’s record in the same event when he ran 12.33 seconds. Toby looked in superb form and ran beautifully to win the U11 200m in 30.70 seconds, which was again just outside of the school record of 29.88 seconds.
Maughan from Wellingborough then treated us to a stellar performance in the U14 200m where she ran a blistering 25.54 seconds; no wonder she was National Champion last year!
We would like to say a huge thanks to all the staff for their help running the event.
