St Faith’s Named in The Cricketer Good Schools Guide 2019

St Faith’s is delighted to announce that it has been named in The Cricketers Good Schools Guide 2019. The Cricketer’s guide features for the first time a guide to the top 50 Prep schools for cricket nationwide.

Entries were judged on an extensive set of criteria and all schools chosen have outstanding facilities, fixtures programmes and coaching.

Mr John Welch, Head of Sports Faculty and a former Bahamas Cricket Coach said, ”At St Faith’s we have created a culture where all pupils are receiving exactly the same level of coaching, opportunity in fixtures and facility usage irrespective of their age, ability or gender, following a pyramid of opportunity philosophy. This is widely reflected in the strength of the cricket as we are lucky enough to have highly qualified and passionate staff alongside wonderful facilities to complement the exceptionally enthusiastic nature of the pupils. We are incredibly excited about the amount of pupils that are currently in the school system who will hopefully go on and achieve for not only representative sides, but enjoy the sport at local club level as well.”

“This is a much-deserved award for our Sports Faculty and particularly our Head of Cricket, John Welch, who has worked hard to develop an inclusive and progressive cricket programme for all girls and boys,” added Mr Nigel Helliwell, Headmaster and former Essex Premier League cricket player.
