OF wins at Henley Royal Regatta

We were thrilled to hear that an Old Fidelian, John Storey, had won the men’s double scull event at Henley Royal Regatta earlier this month. This is the latest of many rowing successes for John, having represented New Zealand on numerous occasions after his family emigrated to the country in 2000 after John completed prep school. He was part of the Quads team in the two most recent Olympics in Rio and London.

2017 sees John move into the double scull with partner Chris Harris (a former crew mate of John’s from 2014). We wish them both the best of luck for the future.

Incredibly, when not rowing John is back at home studying and completing his PhD researching neonatal breathing apparatus, having qualified as a mechanical engineer.

John is pictured below at Henley proudly wearing his leavers tie after winning his race.
