Class Size and Staffing

The Preschool class will be designed to offer a warm, nurturing and focused start to school life. We anticipate a single class of around 18 pupils, in line with class sizes throughout the school.

Mrs Louise Wakefield is the Head of Pre Prep with day-to-day responsibility for all of its activities. Miss Harder, an experienced member of the current EYFS staff team, will be our Preschool teacher. Miss Harder is also Forest School trained and leads our ‘Wild Place’ provision.

The class teachers are supported by EYFS-qualified, full time teaching assistants. An additional play supervisor assists in providing activities for the children, playing with them each morning and lunch playtime, and supporting pupils in class between playtimes. The core EYFS team comprises these core staff members, who are ably assisted by specialist teachers and other members of the Pre Prep staff.
