Enrichment & Extra Curricular

Our programme of Academic Extension Days (AcE Days) and Enrichment Week (E-Week) for pupils in Years 3 to 8 is a key part of the ambitious, broad and balanced education we provide at St Faith’s.

All pupils in Years 3 to 8 participate in our enrichment programme, which includes up to eight off-timetable days each year. These carefully planned experiences are designed to complement classroom learning, broaden horizons and develop the skills and qualities needed to flourish both in school and beyond.

The programme aims to:

• Extend and deepen pupils’ understanding of concepts within and beyond the curriculum

• Encourage pupils to make meaningful connections between different subjects and areas of learning

• Nurture and develop existing talents and interests

• Provide opportunities for new experiences, including cultural and community engagement

• Strengthen communication, collaboration, leadership and teamwork skills

• Foster connections with the local community and provide opportunities to explore places of interest further afield

Our enrichment experiences are wide-ranging and evolve from year to year. From workshops, field trips and outdoor challenges to creative projects and expert-led activities, pupils enthusiastically embrace opportunities that take them beyond their usual daily routine. These memorable experiences inspire curiosity, encourage independence and help pupils develop a lifelong love of learning.
