Reception
There are currently two classes in Reception at St Faith’s.
We encourage prospective parents and children to visit St Faith’s before applying. It’s a lovely opportunity to see the school in action, meet our Early Years Team and get a feel for whether St Faith’s is the right environment for your child.
Families can join us at an Open Morning, arrange an individual tour with our Admissions Team, or come along to one of our ‘Pop-in & Play’ sessions.
Pop-in & Play
Our ‘Pop-in & Play’ sessions are a relaxed opportunity for you and your child to spend time in our Early Years setting. Children can play and explore the classroom and outdoor space while parents meet members of the team and ask any questions.
Our next ‘Pop-in & Play’ dates in the Michaelmas Term are:

What happens after you apply?
As part of our Reception admissions process, our Early Years Team will need an opportunity to meet and observe your child. This may happen during any of the visits above or, where appropriate, at a separate Reception Observation session.
If the team has already spent sufficient time with your child, a separate observation may not be necessary. If we would like to see your child again, our Admissions Team will contact you to arrange this.
We understand that young children can sometimes feel anxious in a new environment. Our experienced Early Years staff will help your child settle and encourage them to play, explore and engage naturally with the activities available.
For children attending a nursery or Preschool elsewhere, we also require a copy of their latest report and a reference from their current setting before making an offer.
What happens next?
Once we have received your child’s completed application, the £120 registration fee and any supporting information required, and our Early Years Team has had the opportunity to meet your child, we will be able to advise you of the next steps.
Where an offer is made, the place will be secured once the £500 deposit has been received.
If your child was born between September 2022 and August 2023, we have places available for Reception entry in September 2027.
