Pastoral Care
Medical Welfare & Health Centre
At St. Faith’s we are fortunate to have a Health Centre staffed by 3 Registered Nurses, as well as a bank of trained first aiders amongst the teaching and support staff teams.
The remit of the Health Centre is:
Immediate First Aid and Medical Cover:
- Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance to pupils in case of injuries or illnesses during school hours.
- Ensure prompt response to emergencies and incidents requiring medical attention.
- The Health Centre team will make a decision if a pupil needs to be “off Games” and this will be communicated with staff and parents.
Support for Pupil Wellbeing:
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing of pupils by promoting a healthy and safe school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to address health-related issues affecting student welfare.
Effective allergen management is a key component of our broader approach to pupil safeguarding and welfare. We recognise the potentially significant risks to susceptible pupils, staff and visitors with allergen intolerances, and work to ensure that all risks are appropriately identified and managed to provide an allergen safe environment. To this end we take a proactive approach to providing awareness and training for pupils and staff, and to ensuring effective procedures are in place to deal with these scenarios.
