St Faith's Pre Prep

Forest School

The children in Reception at St Faith’s are able to participate in regular Forest school sessions led by our Wild Place lead Miss Harder.

Forest school is a growing outdoor education approach with roots in Scandinavia. Children spend time in a wooded setting and are provided with opportunities to connect with nature, follow their curiosity, develop resilience, use tools safely, build connections with each other, make new experiences and take positive risks. It is a very-child led process where adults support the holistic development of each participant. We believe it is an integral part of our approach to children’s well-being at St Faith’s and helps connect them with a world that they can steward responsibility even now and make a positive contribution to.

We follow the FSA guidelines for Forest school which can be found here.
