Facilities
The Art Department has two specialist studios for painting, ceramics, sculpture, and printmaking, and a separate Project Deck so students work within the broad boundaries of Art and Design. The Art teaching studios house excellent facilities and create a peaceful and encouraging working environment. Pupils also benefit from the expertise of experienced specialist teachers and full-time Art Technician, who is a practising artist.
We prepare our most committed and talented artists for art scholarships at senior schools. Throughout the year, the curriculum is supported by a number of external visits and visiting speakers, including trips to The Fitzwilliam Museum, the Castle Art Gallery and the University Botanic Garden.
